LOL your city name is "City Name" 

One of the quests shows you how to change your name so just click on the little quest symbol near the bottom and just go through them until you find it, or you can do like SNAKE says, or you can go in your town hall and change it.

im lost....i went to the boards read up on how to move my city to another world, did that i was about 22 miles east of snake actually messaged back and forth to him last night, built up my cottage and started 4 things of rescources....i logged back in this morning and i am back at my old city???  i have no messages from snake  wtf?  is there a save button or something i am not doing right?

Do you get a whole long list of servers when you log on to play?

I've played on two different servers and if 75 isn't highlighted when I log on, it will take me to the other server I've played on.

ok i figured it out....when i made my account the first time i didnt save it to bookmark till after i had logged into world 87 so it sent me to the login for that world not the opeing login for the whole game.

Here's a great guide on how to farm low level NPC cities. This guide has helped me out A LOT in the last few days, once I got my ballistas built. I'm swimming in food and gold right now.

I wish I could use that guys spiff but I'm going to have to wait at least a day or two before I can build enough ballistas. I did find another npc farming guide for noobs that works pretty well for me.

I picked up about 250K gold in each town yesterday doing this and I only attack lvl 1 or 2 npc's.

how do you get more gold.  i cant seem to raise my tax rate unless i pay money.  seems like i make lots of other resources but im pretty short on gold.

Gold is kind of a pain in the ass.

The more ppl you have the more gold you get, so get as many cottages as you can and build them to as high a lvl you can. That still won't produce much gold and it seems to take forever. Also if you have extra resources sell them at the market, wood and iron are going at over one gold per unit that can work pretty well.

As far as the tax rate you should be able to change it Town hall->tax rate adjust the number and hit OK. I played w/mine a lot going from zero to raise my population and then to 100% and getting 30K per hour but I forgot to lower the tax rate one day and went to work, Ummm no bueno, I had zero population and zero loyalty plus two grievances when I got home.

But farming NPC's has worked better for me than any of that so once your noob protection wears off I would suggest following the Farming guide.

BTW Spiff Ballistas rock I just got them and I've already raided a few lvl 1 npc's w/out loses.
