i have never sent a ram never even built one, i usually send a couple of catapults if they have a big army though, i would like to compare a couple of battle reports and see if they actually make a difference.

The size of their army has no affect on sending ships. Their navy is the only thing that would require sending ships. I'm sure you knew that but just want to make sure in case you didn't. If they don't have any military ships in their port you don't need to send any military ships at them. Unless you think they might ship the supplies out before you can get them all (if you need to make 2 or more trips) then blocking the port is a good idea.

u lost me snake....unless you thought i meant the catapult ships, but i was talking about the land catapult thing, didnt realize that was considered a ram too.

Also Carapults and Mortars are also Battering Rams.... and you could stretch if for spies as well. Ramfest ftw!
