yep its going to be shut down.. wish they was a way to save all the mods and such that are stored on effiles. Actually is there a way that if I downloaded everything (I realize it would take a while but I have the space) that is there that it could be uploaded somewhere? I guess that the EF Maps host is pretty full but what do you think Shafe? Here is some info: http://hailingfrequency.co.uk/boards/index.php?topic=1546.0http://farewell.filefront.com/

maps.game-host.org already has the largest map collection on the planet, I'd be willing to host the mods and everything else if someone has an easy way to get them..

sure... We'll have to put some time and effort into the much neglegted BF file area but yea.. let's be the next effiles...
I may start using amazon s3 for the downloads anyways... the storage is cheap and you only really payout for bandwidth so let's do it.

Looks like File Front is back from the grave. The original founders acquired it from Ziff. http://welcome.filefront.com/

Yes depressingly, at least effiles will be preserved despite the horrible admins there.

Not to worry gents! The original FileFront founders stepped in and saved it from shutting down 1 day before ZiffMedia was to close her doors

Would it help to have a new place or an additional place with all the Trek Files??? Also get games that are open source and host them, like Klingon Academy, Starfleet Academy, etc.
