++Beer Garden++ Omni Game Fest
Elite Force | Open Arena | Tremulous | World Of Padman | Urban Terror

The Beer Garden is happy to host Omni Game Fest 2007.  We will be on teamspeak, playing Elite Force, Open Arena, Tremulous, World Of Padman, and Urban Terror.  These games can all be downloaded free of charge (links below), do grab em, as we'll likely try them all.

This is an excellent chance for everyone to get to know each other on Teamspeak and try some games they may not have played before.  The fest runs Nov 24th and 25th (Saturday & Sunday).

If you don't want to grab the Map Packs for the below games, be sure to turn your in game downloads on.  Most all games have http downloads enabled which will allow you to download most maps very quickly in game.

We may also try some other free or open source games, such as Armagetron Advanced, so keep an eye on the forums.

Optional Beer Garden Map Pack: Download It

Also:
During the fest StarTrek-Games.com and The ++Beer Garden++ will be hosting the 2007 Elite Force Turkey Shoot Fest.  This should mesh well with Omni_Fest.

So how did the Omnifest go overall Shafe? I had something come up and could only hit one of the two scheduled meetups for the EF games. Just curious on how things went overall?

Awww, wish I had been able to be there, sounds like fun. I haven't had a chance to play a good-sized game of EF in a long time now. Man I miss some of those maps. I remember a great map for large games, disi ctf on a large map with two castles surrounded by green, murky water with a tiny bridge between them. Hiding in the water and fighting guerrilla style was so much fun. Hopefully I'll be able to attend the next one of these things.

sorry i coulnd't get on for any of this. i was super busy with travel time, family, schoolwork, and seeing friends for the first time since august. i checked the topservers and out of all 5 servers, the lowest ranking one was a #8. that's incredible. i guess people are attracted to a server with "omnifest" in the name. maybe i will find time to play again sometime in the next few days.
